I(ohannes) Dei gratia etc G(alfrido) filio P(etri) salutem. Rogauimus abbatem et conuentum C’ quod ipse committat caro seruienti nostro W(illelmo) Noel custodiam terre que fuit Willelmi de C’ reddendo eis firmam quam terra illa debet. Mandamus autem vobis quod nisi hoc fecerint, ei sine dilatione terram illam habere faciatis. Teste etc.
Mandate to Geoffrey fitz Peter, informing him that the king has asked the abbot of Cirencester to ensure that William Noel has custody of the land of William of Cirencester, rendering the farm owed to the king for that land, and ordering him to execute the order if the abbot fails to do so.
