Iohannes Dei gratia rex Anglie dominus Hibernie dux Normannie Aquitanie et comes Andegauie archiepiscopis, episcopis, abbatibus, comitibus, baronibus, iusticiis, vicecomitibus et omnibus balliuis et fidelibus suis salutem.  Sciatis nos ad petitionem maioris et ciuium nostrorum Londonie concessisse et presenti carta confirmasse quod gilda telaria non sit de cetero in ciuitate Londinie nec ullatenus suscitetur.  Quia vero consueuimus annuatim percipere decem et octo marcas argenti de gilda illa telaria singulis annis, reddent predicti ciues nostri nobis et heredibus nostris viginti marcas numero in festo sancti Michaelis ad scaccarium nostrum.  Testibus H(uberto) Cantuariensi archiepiscopo cancellario nostro, E(ustachio) Eliensi et W. Abrincensi episcopis, Hugone de Gornaco, Roberto de Harecort, Thoma Basset, Petro de Stokes, Ricardo de Reuiers.  Data per manum eiusdem H(uberti) Cantuariensis archiepiscopi apud Gornacum xx. die Marcii anno regni nostri tercio.

Calendar

Notification that at the petition of the mayor and citizens of London the king has granted that the guild of weavers shall not be sited in the city of London, and because the king is accustomed to receive from the guild of weavers 18 marks annually, the citizens are to pay to the king 20 marks at Michaelmas.
